MORC ZINE

see it as the zine that could accompany morctapes
so the gentse feesten 2010 are gone again. this year, we didnt see all that many shows.
chokebore at boomtown: an unexpected reunion, and unfortunately, quite unnecessary. they sounded way thighter than back in the day.
sardonis at kinky star: belgium’s only instrumental high on fire tribute duo. quite entertaining for the headbangers though
boston tea party at oase gantoise: surprisingly original post 90’s indierock. not unlike early pj harvey or something from ‘de afrekening vol 4’. would not mind seeing them again though.
lieven tavernier & sarah d’hondt at place musette: their take on french chanson - fit quite well on what is one of the most underestimated stages of the feesten
absynthe minded, jan de smet trio and a new beat-tribute at batakamp: even these acts were enjoyable at batakamp. the singer of the first band did a karaoke-version of one of his hits, jan de smet sang tineke van heule, and the new beat-act was ok for 3 minutes (during ‘dikke reet’). it’s all part of the experience.
